I think you may have proclaimed your ignorance to everyone who knows anything about playing an instrument well.

We live in a big town, filled with Asian families that push their children to achieve on stringed instruments, that much is just fact. Some would and have been called prodigies, others just practice a shitload. Some both. The ones that are not just good, but truly great are the ones with talent that practice literally hours a day. Sorry, they're just not going to be put in their place by someone who has been playing for 6 months. You might be good for that time period, but you cannot stand up to thousands of hours of practice.

Again, you clearly don't know me. My imagined possibilities of achievement are so monumental they borderline on the absurd.

I know, that's why I have clearly chosen not to do that. That's the point. If I had 30 years to sink into each one of these endeavors, I would. Instead I have chosen that my time would be better spent elsewhere. BF2S is for ignoring the 3 essays I have to at least begin writing today.

Seriously my part is an act, and I'm actually a modest bloke in real life... but what the fuck.

You pretentious wanker.

"My imagined possibilities of achievement are so monumental they borderline on the absurd"?

What are you even doing with your life now? Unless you're at Harvard/Yale on a genius scholarship, I think you should tone down your grandiose imagination a little bit.

In any case Parker is apparently lost on the fact that other people actually do live life too, and to many that means mastering a hobby over the course of years and years.

I'm glad Unless you were a serious James Joyce I would be seriously disapproving of the way you voice your aspirations.

I mean come on, I know my bf2s persona is one of absolute utter contrived condescension and elitism, but modesty is highly-valued real-life trait. Contrary to popular belief I do not act the way I do in real-life as I do on these Forums, and I have a solid work ethic and determination to do well that has got me this far... and "the only limit to my genius is the sky"-sorta statements are kinda sickening.

I agree. Too bad no one on this thread has an extremely successful business, or a nice suburban family. Possibly Kmarion, but I don't think he is a millionaire. (could be wrong)
What's that got to do with anything? so now money is success?....well son, you don't know me (seeing as you like to use that phrase), I do have a successful business and I am millionaire, only just, but I am, and I've worked damned hard for it....I've never proclaimed that on these forums until now, but I'm telling you now, just so you know...you don't know me.

And the suburban family will be here in a few years, right now I'm only engaged, or is that not good enough for you?

Having a "personality" or character on the internet is something I never did when I was younger, nor did I play PC games or any of that shit, so Im doing it now for like 1 hour a day, so the people who say "wow posting on the internet, great life you live" are so full of shit.

I use the word younger lightly, I'm 24.

I know, that's why it's funny when people direct serious personal insults towards me as if any of them ring home and actually 'insult'- they're insulting Uzique, a cyber posting personality, not the actual typical student arse self. Needless to say, if I acted anything like I enjoy doing for the lulz on here, I wouldn't have even got as far as I have now... let alone being on the road to fulfillment and complete satisfaction.

I'm only 17, idk what i want to do.  Hopefully i won't need a few spare lifetimes to do the things i really want to do.  I already know I want to go into astronomy, and I'm going away to school next year for that.  Right now, i just want to finish school and enjoy the nothingness that i can surround myself with while I'm still a kid

went there to see Morristown and the surrounding areas. a lot of native american history, as well as history regarding the revolution.

Lol.

I would ask you what you do, but you're already Enlightened, you've liked smoked weed and stuff. Whooooah. No one else has done that.

I'm quite happy devoting myself to studying something that I find genuinely interesting, it's far better than studying something for the practical career reasons... or not studying at all. But there you go, actual study and focus is a strange thing; who cares about developing genuine intelligence and intellect when you can copy and paste some pseudo-intellectual quotes from quotationspage.com and then take yourself far too seriously in forming shit arguments in D&ST?

And lol @ Parker's ego. He is right about just getting out there and living life today, not just sitting back dreaming about what you could be doing down the road. Dream as if you'll live forever and live each day as if it's your last, right?

Best quote ever vv

haha

And those quotes aren't pseudo-intellectual, they are deep, man (MLK <3).  What would life be without forming shit arguments in D&ST? Booooring, that's what.

For what it's worth, I've also taken a lot of hallucinogens and gone to rehab 3 times, so smoking weed is just the tip of the plant, really.
