Mom needs a new computer for the office.
I need a new computer since my laptop is getting kinda old.
Office will be running XP 32 Bit.
Mine will be running Vista 64.

Office will NOT include the 4670.

Why get a 4670 when you can get a 4850 for like $30 more?

He lives in Canada where the 4850 is like $90 more.

You should still go for it though.

How much better would you say it is over the 4670?
Since its the same price I'll probably go for it.

EDIT:
Here it is on Newegg.ca
Is it worth the 25$ difference?

I'm not liking what I see on mobo front.... probably works just fine tho....

HD 4830.... it is much better than HD 4670.... if u get it at reasonable price get the HD 4830.

If its for any gaming etc then its worth the $25 difference... if its not for gaming then you dont even need a 4670

Well really it comes down to whether you want better performance or $25 less... thats the choice. you will notice a difference between the 4670 and 4830 but if you dont want to spend the extra money thats up to you.

True.
I might be upgrading my main comp, meaning my G92 88GTS might go into this computer.
However, I might just put the 4830 in the office computer then.

Theoretically, the 4830 is twice as fast as the 4670. Can expect a good 30-50%.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

That mobo is a "micro" version-smaller with less connections and might be a bit limited for stuff other than office work.
