G'day,

I'm about 50 away from Gunnery Sargent (8000 points) and i'm just wondering what weapon is best to unlock? The 3 kits i have left to unlock the first weapon I rarely use...


They are: DAO-12 (anti-tank)
G3 (assault)
Jackhammer (engineer)

Like I said i rarely use these, but what would be the most effect out of those 3?


Also...when do I started to unlock more weapons? Because its a big gap from 8k points to 20k will there be any unlocks inbetween there?

Be careful with the DAO-12, however.  The reload time is no joke.  And no, there are no weapon unlocks between Gunnery Sergeant and Master Sergeant.  You unlock a weapon at 8,000 points, and another weapon at 20,000. 

Also remember that you need an assortment of badges for the advanced ranks above Gunnery Sergeant.

The G3 was one of my first un-locks, I have found it to be very accurate (not that you could tell by my K/D ratio) and extremely powerful on semi from med. to long range.  I believe it has a damage rating of 35 considerably higher then most.

I disagree. Close up the PP19 can do some serious damage due to how fast it shoots and it's clip size, but any more than 20 feet or so you're screwed.

I've used all 3 by picking up the kits from the dead and I like the DAO-12 for close-up, the G3 for medium range, and the JackHammer is good for close-up, but I'd take the DAO-12 over it anyday.

Yup, noticed that last week...got them all now just so I don't forget

Well i chose the G3...its got such a small clip , oh well...i'll stick to pkm whoring

The G3 takes out infantry with 3 hits per UBAR, and kicks ass, problem is the clip, that damn clip size!. Only assault rifle to do that, well the PKM is 47 damage and 3 hits also, but not as accurate as the G3. I still use the DAO because of the ATmissles; if I had to choose.

I would agree, DAO 12. I dont play assault much, but I prefer having a nade launcher on my gun. The jackhammer is a good weapon and I use it often when playing engi, but the default engi shotguns are 1 hit kills if you use them right. Yep, DAO is your best bet. If your at a distance take them down with your rocket, if your close the shotty will do more damage than any of the stock guns.
