In my state, Pennsylvania, to get a license under the age of 18, you must first get a permit, after you get that permit, you have a 6 month waiting period until you can get your reg license. I'm wondering if anyone knows if you are forced to get a second permit because your first might of went through the wash and dissolved, if you have to start over another 6th month waiting period.

Couldnt really find anything on the PA DMV site, hoping someone might know.

They cant just print off a new one? I know here in Canada (Well BC) that when I lost my license I had to pay to get a new one printed for me and I never started over.

Yeah they can, have to pay to get a new license here as well, not sure about permit, but they will give me a new one, Im just hoping I dont have another 6 month waiting period.

if its the learner permit, which is a paper saying you can drive only with someone else I'm pretty sure they will just print you a new one free.

Edit: I really doubt you'll have to wait another 6 months. that would be dumb

No, you don't have to wait another 6 mos. It's contingent upon when you register for your permit through the DMV. The slip of paper is just to show people (like the PoPo).

Nope, you should be able to get a new one printed out for a fee, losing paper does not make it so you suck at driving again, if you were any good to begin with, but i dont know about that

Lol, it's just a piece of paper? My provisional license is plastic... tho the fucking thing has cracked (thanks mr. wallet ).

What's actually on that piece of paper? (Cause like ours has enough so that their main use is as ID for getting into clubs and buying alcohol )
