I know, now I feel bad about recommending it to him in his thread a month or two back...

They make fm transmitters that go into an 1/8" jack, I have one, next time do your research - Miggle
Well no shit, they make Mr. Microphone that will broadcast what ever you say to the radio too... But that is no where near the same as having it integrated so that my ipod can sit tucked away in my glove box while I can still change tracks, view whats playing and operate all other functions of the device with out having to fiddle around with my ipod.
Hell I could go buy portable speakers and use those in my car too, but I want ONE unit to operate. Besides, music transmitted to the radio via FM loses a lot of quality.
You guys hate apple fan boys, but your just as bad yourselves. Instead of praising a brand for no reason, your hating it just to separate yourselves. Quit trying to fucking hard to find fault and realize that in some cases it actually does provide a service that is unique and desirable.
Let's try to put this plainly, something everyone has been trying to tell you: You can name one feature that isn't bested by another player, and it's hardly due to the product itself. If one product has only thing to make it stand out, it holds no water.
You see, personally, I don't care about the thing in car because 1) A 3.5mm jack is simpler and fare more widely supported. By buying a stereo with an iPod adapter, you're crippling yourself to one brand. 2) It's pretty stupid to change the tracks and fiddle with the thing while you're driving. If I need to, I can change it at a light and I certainly don't need a separate, malformed interface to do it. Far better to just use the player itself.
But hey, everyone has their reasons.
