Okay, it did work for a while. I have a GA81955X Royal MB with on-board sound (realtek ALC882M)(HD) When I first started playing things seem to work fine. While teaming lately I found that I am not transmitting to my team. I have read 999#### threads on the subject but as of yet nothing that has worked perminately.
I have no option (in game) for mic boost (its blacked out) I get a green speaker when I attempt to talk but no one can hear me. Nothing appears to be getting "muted" as described in many other posts. Any input would be greatly appriciated. Its hard to stay breathing when I stop to type into to my buddy, Hey you have a enemy sniper hidding on the roof right above you, or trying to type a specific location of a enemy from the command screen. Dont' do my team much good to read what I have said from the prone (need a medic) position.
This is my system:
Gigabyte GA-81955X (Intel 955X chipset)
Pentium D 830 Dual core 3.0 GHz, 800 FSB
Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2 PC2-5300 (DDR2-667) 1 GB
XFX GeForce 7800 GT OC 256 MB DDR3 PCI-E
Running XP Home edition SP2
I know, its not much but It runs the game.
