No it was'nt picture perfect but thats because we have become a hell of a soft touch and it Was Bliar that sold us further into the Euro. He was the one that got rid of the death penalty and the one that signed that sodding stupid Human rights lark! Not to mention a few other god awful things!
How the hell has the EU helped us so far? Rapist/Murders and other horrible creatures have the same rights as a tax paying citizen. Yes well bloody thought out that one!
Of course we bitch and moan, but thats because we get right royally shafted by the Euro! Romania wanted to take us to court because we wanted to limit the number of migrants coming into work. We get people who can't speak English and alot of foreign crimanls as well. Hurrah for Europe!
The entire EU is being screwed over by having the borders opened up so freely to the former Soviet Union. I agree, that is something that never should have been done. The rest of Europe KNEW what would happen and it isn't like they have offered anything of any great value. My next opinion is coming out of a Brit's mouth, though: There are Brits who would rather sit at home and do fuck all and collect social help checks whereas there are immigrants from wherever that may not speak English, but are truly trying to make a decent and honest living. Then the people collecting the checks are typically the ones bitching about the immigrants stealing the jobs they don't even want to do.
That being said ...

You have a problem with us only being a part of the EU when it helps us? Or are you just "pissing and moaning"?
Really, Britain is a unique country in the bastardised organisation that is the EU. If we want to keep our heritage, pride and independence don't get all pissy, just accept it. It hardly effects you, other than my great country significantly contributing to the value of the Euro of course..
No, think we'll pass on giving up any shred of national identity that still remains thanks. As for the Police state bullshit, I think you should come over here and tell us Sheeple just how much we are willing to take it "in the ass" in the name of a big brother society, lol. Aint us who have abandoned our history in favour of a generic weak currency that removes any pride...
God save the Queen, and England prevails.
Oh and bow our head to the rest of the world? What kind of bullshit is that from someone froma country that gave in and became good friends with old Hitler? We have fought for our ideals every decade of the last century and won't be sitting down anytime soon. We are still quite the player on the world stages, economically and militarily. So we don't be giving in to anyone, anytime soon, thanks you ignoramus.
Mate, the European countries have kept their heritage and pride. The French are still French and do all their Frenchy things, the Spanish are still loud, the Italians still are out of control, the Germans are still very precise and drunk (at the same time), and the Austrians are still sitting there saying: vat is dat loud noise? everytime something big happens.
I think giving up your national currency is far from giving up your national identity. The coins are ALL still country specific, only the bills are Europe wide. So if you want the Queen's cunt to be on the 1 Eurocent piece, then DO IT!!!
And when Austria did switch from the Schilling to the Euro, it helped Austria's economy. Austria pre-Euro was a relatively weak economy and since then it has boomed. So you cannot say that switching to the Euro is bad for every country, friend.
Now to the bowing of the head ... mate, I am an American. My country hasn't tipped its head to anyone in the past few hundred years.
Location does not imply nationality. Besides, the USA is enjoying the rim job England has been giving us for some time. We'd hate to have it stop. Then the Australians will have to do it and after that, who sucks the USA's dick??? But Austria on the other hand did not hand over to Hitler. You need to remember that Austria was as destroyed as Germany was after WWI and didn't have any kind of a real economy that could have gotten it back on its feet as Germany had the chance to do. Check your history and learn a bit of sociology, then put your gloves on to fight.
I personally don't get the whole EU thing the entire time. I think the EU Commission needs to have a lot of its power restrained and the selection of members a bit more selective. But seeing as how I am not an EU citizen by any means (though I could be if I wanted to), I don't really have much of a say.
