Did 1 and 2. I use speakers. It really wasn't that scary, just like the original FEAR. It tries to creep you out but ultimately fails completely because it's 100% predictable.Stingray24 wrote:
If this didn't give you chills, you aren't playing it right.
1. Play at night w/ no other lights on.
2. Play w/ headphones.
3. Play w/ EAX
Working through the school was the best part as you weren't sure when you'd encounter an enemy. The area where the girl was crying and the lights were cutting out or flickering while the lockers slam repeatedly were pretty good. Sound seems improved, too. When you shoot out a window and jump through, your boots crunch on the glass. The ability to flip things over for cover is a nice edition to combat as was the sniper rifle.
I was very creeped out in the school. I was like wtf *chill down spine*. But then I had to go out when I was in the street fighting people (which was boring).
I thought it was quite impressive. I never played the first.
Also wtf retarded controls have these people never played a PC game before.

FEAR has never been scary for me.
Dead Space wasn't even really scary (though a lot of parts were fucking creepy), it just gave me some crazy adrenaline rushes. Although there were a few times where a fucking tentacle came out of nowhere, grabbed me and scared the shit out of me.
I don't think any game has ever truly "scared" me except for when I played Resident Evil 3 when I was a kid.

When I played dead space where was a lot of mouse lag and I thought that was intentional to give some sort of survival horror delayed reaction effect. Turns it it's just a bug when you have vsync on.
Yeah the v-sync in dead space did that with everyone i think. And I didn't find dead space in the least bit scary or creepy or jumpy or whatever. Just nothing.
I didn't find dead space scary, or resident evil, or silent hill...but FEAR scares the shit out of me
Something about little girls with long black hair (reminds me of the ring )

Thx going to download it right away
Just played it. It pushes by system pretty hard. I had everything maxed out @ 1680x1050 w/ 2xAA. But, it looked great. However... the game play is the same as FEAR 1. Of course now you have Mini Mechs...
I got it on PS3 and i fucking love it
That part in the threatre, when Alma came and when you punched her
i shouted BITCH!
Combat is solid and fun and the school section was creepy
