i'm rather happy with my sound system, i don't care if it doesn't quite meet certain audiophiles expectations, because i frankly couldn't give a fuck.

Makes me happy, so bleh

lol bass reflex.
?
That hole.

Bass reflex sacrifices a tonne of accuracy for slightly more soun- er, noise. Sealed boxes > that any day.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

He could say the same about somebody with an obsession over batterys, but we on bf2s try not to that, since it's just a tad judgmental.

Works both ways ja?

That didn't make much sense.

I'm saying much sound =/= good sound. And that good sound makes up for much sound better than much sound makes up for bad sound.

Thing is, quite a lot of people don't care too much for good sound. I bought mine so when i'm having a party, it's just fucking loud and everyone can hear it. It is actually pretty good quality, but loudness was a big factor for me

I wouldnt quite write off a sub box with a hole in it, theres been a lot of technology invested into 'vent slot' boxes, i've done a lot of installations using Alpine Type-X sub woofers, using the X-Type vent box. It holds the accuracy but fucking pounds if you want it to.

Granted, i cant stand typical 'ported' (round port, varying in length and diameter) boxes. All mouth, no trousers.

The speaker on the picture doesn't seem to be very precisely engineered...

Of course, some people prefer size over quality, just like other prefer loudness over sound quality.

People have opinions, live with it.

Audiobahn + Alpine isn't going to be bad, and it's not like the box resembles something held together by tape.

That totally over-rated "Peak" value is just lol.

Bitch fight.
I can barely tell the difference in sound qualities. All I want is something that can pump out loud music and not start crackling.
