I noticed I wasn't the only Zune social user - or rather, Kmarion did - was wondering if anyone else out there has a Zune Social tag.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Now I may've owned a Shuffle, and I may be considering one of the new Nano's(srsly, the amount of accessories is astounding). But even I must draw the line at Alienware.

And there's nothing wrong with a 360, if i were to buy a console(unlikely) I'd get a 360, hands down.

And Cowon still sounds like a cheap chinese knock-off brand, Archos FTW.

The thing is, they could get so muh more for their money.

I paid 230€ for my 16GB Cowon D2 (Donkey go suck a sausage), compared to 210 for a 16GB iPod Nano. Let me list some things the D2 has over the iPod:

SD card slot (mine filled with a 16GB card)
Support for pretty much every format out there, compared to AAC, MP3, WAV and Apple Lossless on the iPod.
It's open, so I don't need to fag around with iTunes or similars.
It's got a bigger, better specced screen, which can play even 2CD-XVID/DIVX without any converting.
The sound quality is worlds apart.
Radio.

Etcetera, etcetera. I could go on forever.
