Restart your computer.

If that doesn't work, reinstall the game or reinstall sound drivers.

Unmute your sound. Plug in your speakers.

i have been using XP for many years, its a bit less bugs than the new Vista. You know how many times i had to reinstall XP in the last 5 years, lets just say i had many severe OS problems back then, get the picture?

Im glad i use MAC OS X Leopard. works like a charm. Im done with PC.

^ And now we know why he doesnt like BF2. Its too hard. Enjoy your simple, restrictive interface and lack of games.

I would say delete the BF2 folder in My Documents first, if that doesnt work, try reinstalling the game

Play BF2 on mute anyway.

You won't need sound until you play against some real good people with real good soundcards and real good internetzzz...

So in that case, never...

hey Jizz in my pants (  yep thats a hilarious song). ill agree with the "lack of games" of Mac with a grain of salt. restrictive interface...man what have you been smokin... i have been using windows for many years, i think Mac's interface is a bit more efficient, not necessarily more featured than windows.

and yes i had to reinstall BF2 many times over and over again because DICE could not code the game properly . Re-install Bf2 just to make it work, that really is sad.

Macs have few decent games, unless you count solitaire as decent. You dont have as much control as you do in windows, but for the non-tech monkies its ok. And not to say that BF2 isnt buggy, but it is definitely not alone when it comes to having to be reinstalled often.

lol

No wonder you have troubles with bf2; it's a finicky game, but XP as an OS is one of the most solid platforms microsoft has made. I've had the same install running for years.

This seems to be a recurring theme.

I guess it's always the software makers' fault.
