About 1 week after Blago tells the state agencies to stop doing business with Bank of America, the FBI runs in and arrests him.
Sounds fishy to me where a guy starts to make a hard stand for average joes and the FBI, ala Hoover file, runs in and gets him removed.
Dirty for sure but the other question is when exactly did the investigation start... was the FBI sniffing around Illinois to try to dig up dirt on Obama during his run for the presidency and instead found Blago and started a Hoover file on him.

His populism is all smoke and mirrors.
I trust Patrick Fitzgerald a lot more than I trust Blago, because he's not partisan. He was appointed by Republicans, but he busted George Ryan, the Republican governor before Blago. Fitzgerald is truly the man of the people here, not Blago.
Hell, give Fitzgerald a few more years in the Dept. of Justice, and then let him run for governor. He's the kind of leader Illinois needs.
