With 31434 I'm Master Sergeant since I'm only missing the Knife Badge, else I would be First Sergeant, that's understood...

Now...

At 50000 points, STILL WITHOUT that badge, I will become Sergeant Major since the badges required DO NOT have the knife badge in it (check the "ranks" info page), Am I right to think that??  Someone with no badge at all would instead become at 50000 points Master Gunnery Sergeant, right???

Then, still with just the Knife Badge missing, at 50000 being a Sergeant Major, I would be able to graduate still to 2nd Lieutenant, etc... ???? Right?  Just reading the ranks page in a logical way, trying.

Anyone knows for sure all this?

you're right about the ranking.
if you have the badges, you become Sergeant Major otherwise Master Gunnery Sergeant.
Both ranks go to 2nd LT.

The rank of First Sergeant is special, because of the knife and pistol badge.

Any trick for getting 7 knife kill in a round??? without using a second account or a friend???

my trick was karkand... just sit down and plan on it dont use any other weapons.. you'll hear different opinions on which kit to use -- i played as medic and got it on 2nd try-- lots of fun... good luck

I did it in SF.
Go to Ghost Town and play SAS.
Spawn at the south base, when it's SAS and go to the middle flag (Convoy).
Always snipers and other kits on the roofs there.

this is my method. it kicks ass compared to all the other methods.
play wake island as either side. only works when ur commander. play medic. now when ur team is attacking or defending a base on land. go to the beach and walk in the water past the enemy's cp. now go to the commander screen and zoom in on that area ahead of u, u see the snipers, good.

karkand is easier as there are more people on less ground...
more possibillities to try..

The easiest way is to organise a couple of friends to spawn at spot X on the map, you skirt the action to get there and you knife them, they respawn and before you know it music time. But if you're caught doing this...

Most of the recommendations I've seen are to play a kit with a good sprint so you can outrun guys from behind, don't try and run at people from the front (be sneaky) and play an entire round where you use the knife religiously. 64-player maps that aren't full are good as this gives you lots of time.

That's an awful misuse of command. No offense, I've done the same thing myself to a certain degree (generally on smaller maps when trying to be an extra body) using the UAV as my personal threat-detection device.

I don't really think its a good idea to run around with JUST the knife out, but how I got my Vet Knife badge is just paying attention to the UAV and predicting the moves of the enemy.  Make sure you use a kit with long sprint distance and then when you see a little bastard coming around the building on one side, sprint all the way around the building the opposite way and pull out that knife and kill him.  Works pretty often, I had 9 knife kills that game.  I was using sniper, so maybe that will be a good one.  I also got Vet Sniper that game too.

You can't go from a Master Sergeant to a First Sergeant.  Sorry man, but you have to miss out.

You all have to remember also that if you just bypass the knife badge all together, your eventually going to need it. Yes you bypassed the "special" ranks. but once you get to be a higher officer, you NEED to have the badges. Now granted that this wont effect you untill you reach the 'stars' but everyone else thought that way, and just point whored on the karkand. now NO ONE has ANY stars! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
