SourceA Brisbane police officer has been witnessed arguing with a doughnut-store employee, demanding he be given free doughnuts.
Customers of the Krispy Kreme store looked on in amazement as the officer argued for several minutes to get his hands on free product, before eventually leaving the scene doughnut-free.
"I couldn't believe what I was seeing," a witness told News Limited.
"He was quite rude, insisting his doughnuts should be free. He was so greedy for the doughnuts.
"I thought, 'you swine, get your money out and pay for them like everyone else'."
As a result of the row, Krispy Kreme has decided to stop supplying Brisbane police with leftover doughnuts.
The junior constable was reprimanded by senior colleagues following the embarrassing incident.
"Everyone's a bit annoyed because they were a nice treat at the end of the day with a coffee," a police source told News Limited.
"It's a shame the arrangement came to such a nasty end, because we do love Krispy Kremes - although our waistlines are looking a lot better now."
I thought cops and doughnuts were just a stereotype.
