People can argue all they want about how America can't make cars (with little to no evidence to back themselves up,) but one aspect they can never argue against is America's truck market. You cannot buy a better truck than these 2 (GMC and Chevy are the same) for all your needs. They have the most power and to top it off, you even get the best gas mileage with these two. I know what you are saying but if a car is designed and built in another country it doesnt really matter where the company hq is. Saab is owned by GM but its still Swedish. VW owns Lamborghini but its still Italian.
With the example Ford USA/Ford UK, its kind of like Lexus, Infiniti and Acura. While the hq's are all in Japan, most models are designed and built in the US. Making those specific models more American than Japanese IMO.
