Could someone convert these fucking docx files to doc for me?

I've been trying various online converters and workarounds for an hour now and none of that shit works, can someone with Word 2007 convert these files for me?

I am using OpenOffice, but it just gives me a general input/output error when I try to open it...

edit: there was an issue reading verkefni_I_uppkast(2).docx but it appeared to get some content from it.

That was the only one I tried to open with the ODF plugin for OOo, the others open fine.

yeah if anything open office should be able to read 2007 docs even easier than other formats, docx is nothing but a zip file with a bunch of xml files in it.
