I command, and this happens.

To be fair to myself, the entire enemy team was in some sort of clan and they were working as a team.

Every freakin' APC on that map was outside my Carrier and there was not a whole lot I could do...

Just a suggestion, this problem could be resolved with a voting system, end of round, where squad leaders vote a good or bad vote, and a certain percentage gets him x2 or not. I know I've had my experiences with shithouse commanders, and it does my head in. When I command, I do my best to make sure everyone around me knows whats going on.

Good commanders deserve it, no question. Bad ones should be punished and stripped of it by their squad leaders.

Having said that, if we leave it to Dice to implement something like this, they'll do the opposite of the kick votes and only need 0% to get the 2x.

That however would imply only making ppl squad leader who have played a certain amount of time...
And not those begging for supplies, and if you tell em supplies are already underway start a mutiny.

Happened to me a squad leader was sniping on fu she pass in our base... like 5 bases away from the enemy... and as soon as his ammo was out he called for supplies...
Sadly I had a few Tanks and APCs right before the enemy base(around 90% of my team) and dropped the supplies there... and from that point on i had mutiny votes with 2 points against me till the end of the game. XD
Back to the point... no matter how good you are then some would always let you down because you didnt support their squads as good as others.
The only way to solve this problem would be for the commander to become a special kit:
unable to sprint or use any vehicles
only two weapons: pistol and shotgun
low hitpoints

that would kill those commanders just using the uav or the scan funtions to snipe or kill targets their own.
arty tk is a dumb idea... theres just too many players that dont seem to recognize the red arti sign on the map.... lemming players as i tend to call em ^^

on the other hand a good commander who basically uses scan as soon as available and manually marks targets and snipers where not in uav range + using supplies to repair tanks/arti and not commands a whole squad to do it, should even be in the high points without having to cap flags or killing others.

though i must admit, having played as commander myself... sometimes it is neccesary to do this on your own... because your squads deny your orders even though you see theres noone defending the enemy flag and it could be taken easily...

and about the mutiny thing... as long as I play I've only seen one kickvote work... but no mutiny yet.

On the flip side, it stinks when you command the losing team and you would have beaten the enemy commander in points if your side got the doubling.

Then your mutiny worked. What did you expect, the commander to be flayed in the town square? He was out of the position, and that was your original intent anyway.

When my friends and I work as one or two squads on a team, we try to have one of our own be commander. The reason is we are on Teamspeak together, we can request spotting (when the UAV is unavailable), we have the omnipotent view of the battlefield, and can anticipate the enemy's movements.

If someone else takes the spot, and frequently teamkills with artillery, or doesn't respond to order requests, then we either:
a - let him be (what do I care if he gets points because of my effort -as long as he doesn't ruin our game in the process)
b - we all mutiny, and have one of our own take the position

Many times, just talking with the commander, will let them know to straighten up. If he still continues, boot.

Then again, it is just a game, and life is stressful enough without letting a 11 year old raise your blood pressure.
It could be worse... he could date your daughter!
LOL
