I cannot think of a good career objective for the life of me.

I plan on doing 3D modeling as a living, but I'll need to take a college course to get there.

However, the only reason I want (well...need) a job, is to pay for the course.

I have one resume objective with something along the lines of "To gain a position in the entertainment industry", which still somewhat works if I apply for a job at EB Games or something, but since that doesn't seem to work out, I'm just looking for any normal job.

So basically...how would I put that in one sentence, but still make it sound like I'd make a good contribution to the company I'm applying at?

After my employeer spent the last weekend at the Super Bowl with his wife after not giving me a raise for my yearly review...I too am brushing up on my resume.

Surprisingly there are alot of jobs still available.  What's happening besides the contraction of jobs is that many companies are 'retooling' with different talent to go forward.  (i.e. Microsoft is laying off 5,000 employees, but if you got their job site there are 700-900 jobs right now).

What the news stories don't tell you is that not all of those jobs are canned right away, alot of it could be from attrition (not hiring when someone leaves a job), not hiring when someone retires, or other reasons.

Any company that is hiring right now is probably a good company that you'll want to work for so good luck!

You really need to tailor your objective to the position you are applying for. I have re-worded my resume a good 30 times to fit the bill of where it is going. If you want, you can email me and I could give you some feedback on your resume
