Ya, I got a circus of problems going on, but I think I narrowed it down. My CPU can't hand 1080p HD
Details:
I downloaded a movie, full HD. It was in mkv format, so I downloaded VLC Player and it started up fine, audio was perfect...Until I got 30 seconds in, my cpu maxed out, the image became a jumbled mess etc etc.
I installed DivX 7, it plays the video perfect, it doesn't max my cpu, but there is no audio at all. I get a message saying there is an directshow audio codec code '8193' and I should download directshow codecs. So I downloaded AC3 FILTER 1.46. DivX runs, the codecs are there but still no sound!
I uninstall all that shit. I try out Combined Community Codec Pack with Media Player Classic and Zoom Player and FINALLY the video and audio work fine..BUT WAIT...the audio is OFF...FFS! I just cant watch it like that, so now...
I ran it using windows media player, the audio is off also, but if I play from the middle, or 20+ min in and start it back, the audio gets in snyc, but it gets out of sync periodically, luckily playing it back a few steps helped so I was able to watch it, not perfect, but it worked.
In conclusion, is there an audio/video codec setup any of ya'll use that work for you? Is there something I have set up wrong?

Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
