A Massachusetts man said he is using technology to combat his family's debt by auctioning his $22,000 credit card debt on eBay.
The 29-year-old Milford man wrote on the eBay posting that he and his 26-year-old wife both recently lost their jobs and missed a mortgage payment on their town home, WCVB-TV, Boston, reported Wednesday.
The man said he is hoping for 2,500 eBay users to each bid $10 to help reduce the debt. He said each bidder will receive a photo of the couple with their 2-year-old daughter and a thank you card.
"This is a very humbling time for me, and I'm looking to do everything I can to support my family," wrote the man, who uses the eBay name speedwerx.
