How much did it cost you? I saw the same gun yesterday in Havre (Wal-Mart) for only $100. It didn't come with everything else though, just the gun.
the gun package Cost $150.28 then the barrel was $44 shipping was free.
Ryan the gun you saw was probably just a plane MR1 not the E-MR1 mine is electric not mechanical. ou should come out with us one time its a shit load of fun, renting is really cheap to $50 gets you Gun Co2 (with free refills) and 500 balls

No not yet. When I get a proper vest with a Co2 Holder and a place for pods I will I have the little cord thigey for it but no place to put the co2 tank unless I drag it behind me. I cant not have the stock on becaue then the back of the bolt is exposed which is a shame I am going to have to make a plug for the back.Volatile wrote:
Nice gun GR34. I'm guessing your using a remote for your CO²? It would be somewhat awkward with that tank threaded into the drop forward with that stock on the back.

You should just hang on to it and swing it around like a flail. If your ever questioned on it, just say it's a door breaching device.GR34 wrote:

If you're going to spend money, spend it on good guns. If your doing tactial games. Buy tippmann brand guns, such as the x7 a5 and 98c. If your going for tourny, buy the high brands like smart parts etc etc. I wouldnt advise buying guns that come with the mask, hopper, and 12o Co2 Canister.
I'm going Paintballing this month as a Year 11 treat at school

If you're going to buy all these red dot sights and scopes and longer barrels etc.. at least make it so you need them. Tell me something, what's the kind of range/accuracy of these guns anyway? I'm guessing all these things you're buying for the gun is completely pointless in a practical sense. Same goes for you airsoft muppets, when something only has a range in the tens of metres then what's the point?
Ya no doubt. I play paintball regularly. I actually have the Spyder MR1 marker. Not the E MR1 like the OP. All I have is a 200 round hopper, I bought a new longer barrel for added accuracy and a mask. All the add ons are just a waste of money in my opinion. I have seen people with scopes and lasers and I laugh in there face because the paintball doesnt travel exactly straight, just point towards enemy and shoot.Mekstizzle wrote:

Now things like camo and paint grenades (if allowed and playing in a bush not arena) are a good investment to make and the grenads are so much fun.
Barrels rarely ever help accuracy. Pressure and good paint is what gets the accuracy.trex1210 wrote:

actually barrels do help accuracy. The longer the barrel the more the paint ball flys straighter. To much pressure and you will cause a paint ball to break which is fucking annoying and you can only have you marker set to 300 feet/second.NeXuS wrote:

My new barrel is 5 inches longer than my stock and I have noticed a great deal in accuracy. Why do you think players buy after market barrels?
I know shit about markers but I was born in Vernon B.C.
why post of you just going to flame? and I fucking hate tippmans. imo the only good one is the a5 with the bullpup
Yes and paint balls do not fly strait nither do bullets to a certain extent. but by having a sight or a scope it gives you a betteridea of were the round is going to go instead of wasting 3-5 balls to get on target(thats with people beyond normal range 30m+ when you have to long ball it)
and I got the scope and rail for free. the G36 body will cost me $45

I am not trying to bash you. I have alot of friends with scopes. I just personally think its a waste of money. I fucking hate tippmans too. Spyder for life.GR34 wrote:

To quell some myths in this thread:
Smart Parts is not high end.
Longer barrel does not mean more accuracy.
Most paintball engagements happen at roughly 20-80 feet.
Sights definitely help. At least on markers that don't shoot like shit..
Tippmanns are awesome.
Spyder is a brand for newbies.
Milsim players are idiots.

Your gunna lose a ton of power on the longer barrel...trex1210 wrote:

14 inches - 16 inches is great, longer than that your going to have problems.
Look into a dangerous power G3 or a Proto SLG 09 for a gun, much more worthwhile than getting fancy body kits.
From my experience
Paintball guns are effective up to 150~170ft.
Airsoft guns are effective up to 120~280ft.

170ft? You must have a hell of a gun. I've played a lot of paintball, but don't own my own gun so I'm always on rentals, but it becomes like you're using a mortar once you're shooting 75ft or so.
lol they are decent guns and every one has there own opinion but imo every but the A5 sux mainly the x7 thats what I had befor my MR1 I sold it 5-8 months prior to getting my E-MR1 and I love my current one alot moreDefCon-17 wrote:

Longer barrels themselves don't give you any better accuracy. What matters is that the paint is the right size for the barrel, the quality of the barrel, the quality of the paint, and the consistency of pressure coming from the marker. Longer barrels are just less efficient, someone did a study and found that the best length for efficiency and accuracy was 11-12 inches. The best barrel out there IMO is the J&J ceramic. It only costs ~$40 and outperforms just about anything.
I used to play but I don't anymore, the game is just so expensive. However if I were to get back into it I'd probably pick up a Tippmann 98 Custom for it's cheapness and reliability. Or if I really had the money I'd get an autococker, the hoses just look awesome and the soft whooshing noise they make is sweet.

I do agree with the fact that a scope with actual zoom would be a waste of money for airsoft/paintball. and yeah mil sims fags are fags. they make fun of you if you dont have real ballistic plates in your vest
I rent guns when I play paintall, but I've seen hits from that range, although the guy had to lob it A LOT.ghettoperson wrote:

Sights are unnecessary. With a little practice you can easily hit your targets within your markers effective range by eyeballing it.
Popped off a doves head at about 15 yards with one shot once. You just eventually get a feel for where the paint is going to land.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
The dove wasn't wasted, it was fed to some felines - for those of you who's heads are ready to asplode at the mention of killing animals
