As of 14 November 2008, the Harry Potter film franchise is the second highest grossing film franchise of all time, with the five films released so far grossing $4.48 billion worldwide. Without adjusting for inflation, this is slightly behind the 22 James Bond films and higher than the six films in the Star Wars franchise. Soon its gonna be the #1 film franchise or by 2011 or after 2011.

Movies one and two are alright, the acting sucks but at least the films match the books. All the other movies suck.

Books one through four are awesome, five is good, six is alright, and the seventh sucks.

They really dont follow the books at all. They put the movies out every year or 2 with shitty quality and they sell billions because then say Harry potter

I love the atmosphere and some of the acting in the Harry Potter movies, but they could've used someone else for the main role...

The English versions of the books are very...childlike to read, but the Dutch translated ones are great.
Childlike being small sentences used constantly.

I think the third film is the best (actually enjoy watching it), but the rest aren't really worth my time and effort. Still looking foward to 6 though. Even though I know i'll be disappointed.

As for the books. Yeah. Love them. 1-4 was increasing in quality every time, then 5 was all in CAPS, then in 6 nothing happened, but I enjoyed 7.
