You should have called the police there and then, say you been assaulted and harassed on the ground of racism by the bouncer. Make the allegation once police arrive and they will have no choice but to investigate the matter. Then after the investigation has been done, and your mate REALLY didn't do anything, you can try to sue.

I went outside to find him. We didnt make a massive deal of it, no point in getting battered by a bouncer. I went back to the bouncers at the door n started talking to one that seemed quite reasonable. He said he hadnt seen my mate do anything either, but that the guy that kicked him out was higher in the order than him so he couldnt do anything about it.Mekstizzle wrote:

I'm sure he didnt do anything, he can cause trouble sometimes, but ysterday wasnt one of those occasions, didnt see him doing anything wrong.
Also we'd all bought tickets in advance, so they couldnt really turn him away straight off.

well what you should have done is asked the bouncer that threw him out what he did wrong, not other bouncers then if he didn't reply with a reasonable answer, ask to see his manager/duty manager or whoever was in charge that night so you can make a formal complaint.

I then started talking to another bouncer who was nearby, he said he hadnt seen my mate do anything n he didnt even look like much trouble, that if it were up to him he'd let my mate back in, but he couldnt go against the other bouncer cos he wasn't as high up.
At no point did my mate start anything/get started on/square up to anyone or cause any trouble. I just find it all too convenient that there was barely any n0n-white people there, except my mate, many of the less well educated Bath residents are pretty racist (many are also bouncers) and that my mate gets kicked out for no reason!

They arent going to start an argument just to piss you off too. Besides, he may have done nothing at all or he may have done something stupid you didnt see. Also, when I bounced years ago sometimes people would slip me 40 bucks or so and tell me to make sure nobody bugs em. It's rare but maybe your buddy was getting to close to one of the bouncers friends or his chick. Shit happens.
