Unplug your PSU from the PC.
Get a metal wire (Such as a paperclip) and stick it in the pin attached to the green wire (this pin is on the big 24pin connector) and then stick the other end into a pin that's connected to a black wire on this connector.
Plug the PSU into the mains with the kettle cable and turn it on.
If the fan spins, you most likely have a working PSU and then it could be your motherboard or your PC Case wiring for the power button.

jesus fucking christ. that's awful. i almost doubt the NB heatsink was already off though. if it wasn't receiving proper cooling, your computer probably would have been very unstable. it must have just fallen off recently.MAGUIRE93 wrote:

so here's what you do. first of all, screw that heatsink back on. make sure there's thermal paste underneath it too. plug everything in. i don't know what you mean with the LED light but that might be uninmportant (unless it's the motherboard power light).
