So my new computer has a problem with power. It seams that when i move it ( i dont not have a desk for it yet) some wire inside gets loose. For the times that its happened i have just wiggled the cables around and its fixed but now thats not working. any ideas to what it might be?

Well... What is your power supply? That might be a good thing to tell us in a thread like this.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Did you check all the connections to make sure they're tight?

nah ... too obvious
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

That's why you don't ever buy prebuilt.

It might not be the PSU then. Don't assume unless you test that shit.

Short the green wire with a black wire and turn it on from the Mains and see if the fan spins. Just use a paperclip (metal).

Edit: Wait, did you get a whole new PC back or just a new PSU? I may have misunderstood.

Unplug your PSU from the PC.

Get a metal wire (Such as a paperclip) and stick it in the pin attached to the green wire (this pin is on the big 24pin connector) and then stick the other end into a pin that's connected to a black wire on this connector.

Plug the PSU into the mains with the kettle cable and turn it on.

If the fan spins, you most likely have a working PSU and then it could be your motherboard or your PC Case wiring for the power button.

Oh in that case, refer to Freezer's post.

Call em up and if you're pissed off just the right amount, you can demand next day delivery and stuff like that.

Tell them you NEED the PC for work and shit.

Actually... My brothers pc from ibuypower works excellent, nothings wrong with it at all (except all the viruses he got from porn). What did you do when you got the computer, just plug it in and not look at it?

jesus fucking christ.  that's awful.  i almost doubt the NB heatsink was already off though.  if it wasn't receiving proper cooling, your computer probably would have been very unstable.  it must have just fallen off recently.

so here's what you do.  first of all, screw that heatsink back on.  make sure there's thermal paste underneath it too.  plug everything in.  i don't know what you mean with the LED light but that might be uninmportant (unless it's the motherboard power light).

the screws are nowhere to be found and the led was just a light to light the case.
