I think there's something wrong my modem/router from Verizon.  Wireless connections work, hence the reason I am posting from my iPod.  Everything that's wired does not, such as every desktop in the house.

Is the modem/router the problem and what can I do?

did you try power cycling the router?

First^^

Do you have a wireless card in the machine even though you are not using it?

Are you sure your iPod is connected to your connection?

Was it working before and did it just stop (If so try a system restore)?

Do you have the latest network drivers?

Have you checked your firewall? Try turning it off temporarily.

Have you recently installed any software?

I don't have a wireless card in it but I do have card that I'm not using, are you suggesting I use it?

Yes, I am positive it is my router that the iPod's connected to.

It was working before but when I got home yesterday at ~3 P.M. is when it started working like this.

Network adapter firmware is irrelevant I believe since it doesn't work on either desktop.

What about the firmware on your modem? Check and see if there are any updates available.

No, I just wanted to make sure that you machine wasn't attempting to connect another (unconfigured) way.

I would try a restore back to before yesterday. If not call Verizon. You pay for service and they can find out if it is you modem right away.

I had a similar issue using verizon a couple weeks ago (wired bad, wireless good) and yes, reinstalling drivers fixed the problem.

It might not hurt to run the Malicious Software Removal Tool also.

I already power-cycled it several times and it was the same thing.  I'm going to look for firmware updates right now.
