I usually put some soda in the freezer for about an hour to get it good and cold. Last night I forgot to take it out. This afternoon at lunch I went to the freezer to retrieve something else and discovered the can had exploded ... and blew off the top in a perfect circle. The impact actually punched a hole in the interior plastic of the freezer door, too. Diet Pepsi has a military application after all.

I've done that with sprite, but it didn't explode...the can just bent outwards like twice its size.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Exploded is better yes, but it is proof that Coke has better can design. And if they put so much work into the can, surely the contents are better as well (as is the case).

I could go ruin a can of sprite just to take a picture of its deformed shape, but I don't think I'm going to.
