I just reformatted my HDD and installed W7 on it..
Since I filled my last install like that *snaps fingers* I decided to keep a checklist of what I've installed/downloaded etc..

Installed Drivers
Dumped Old HDD crap (Spore, L4D, CS4, BF2, Music, BF2 patch, TM Nations) (18.3GB)
Installed BF2 (2.5GB)
DL & Installed FireFox
Installed Easy Account
Downloaded CoD4 patch 1.6 & 1.7
Downloaded Winrar
Installed CoD4
Installed Crysis
Installed Steam
Installed Spotify
Dumped TF2
Installed TF2
Downloaded Crysis 1.2 Patch

Bam, only 10GB left. Quite frankly, I'm amazed.

And also I need a new fucking hard-drive.

It would take me about a week to fill an 80GB HDD.

I dont buy drives smaller than 500GB anymore.

I installed this system 17 days ago, and I've used 78.8GB of the hard drive. So, I could say 17 days, if it weren't for the fact that 70% of it is my age-old backups. Filling up the last 1.2GB is gonna take another month.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Like some weeks i'll download 50GB, others i'll download like 500MB

And as all of my stuff is stored on different partitions to the O/S, then my O/S drive stays fairly empty

I need a 1TB HDD though, my 2 x 250GBs are full to the brim

Mmm..my entire documents/music/setup/images folder is roughly 80 100GB in size.

So, if I were to do a clean install that would take up some 20GB for Vista + 80 100GB for that folder. So including installing time and putting the folder back I'd say about 3-4 hours to fill up 100 120GB.
