Servers with punish turned off....

I know of some, but want to know more of them. I have decided that the best gameplay occurs without non-stop punish and the wonderful, intelligent converstations that follow.
I realized how wonderful a feature this is today when I was in a tank and was rammed from the rear by a humvee filled with teammates. The driver, the genius that he is, thinks the tank is actually a tunnel to wonderland, and proceeds to try and drive through it. Had this been a server with the punish on it would have only added insult to injury as I am sure all 4 would have punished me and tried to give me the boot. Starting the round at -16 was not part of my plan. I alternated between support and medic to work off the points which was no big deal as I prefer those kits anyway but sometimes I do like to be l33t 9 and fight duuurtyyy

I know punish is annoying but its to dissuade dicks (e.g. noobmurderer) who riun a game by punishing for fun.

Server admins of clan servers need to learn to disable TK punish tbh.

It probably one of the worst features in the game.

Ranked sever's must have TK punish on, not off;

§1.21 TK PUNISHMENT

* § Option A: TK punish is optional for the player by using the pgup/pgdn voting system.
* § Option B: TK punish is to be set to automatic or on, but may not be set to off.

all of the servers i admin, TK punish is disabled and voting is disabled as well. both are too much of a distraction with mutiny and player kick votes every 10 seconds.

I've heard through a very reliable source that EA is going to mandate that TK Punish must be activated on all ranked BF2 servers. Note that this mandate does not come from BF2RS, rather from EA directly. I'm not exactly sure when this will go into effect, but it will be standardized with the release of the new BF2CC.

If it is indeed true, you better enjoy the servers without TK punish turned on while you can.

The admins there rock. And I'd say they play pretty much every day or evening. Most of the time two or three, but I've played with all on before.

noobmurderer - it wouldn't be hard to get you a permaban there.

Well if they do that thats up to them I guess. I know in my server I kick people that punish for BS reasons fairly quickly so its not a big issue for people trying to have fun.
