Problem with public-trackers is that music rips are often low-quality, there's a pathetic choice, and the tags/reliability is tosh.

Uzique is also right about movies and apps on TPB- as long as you're not stupid then you can find what you want very easily and have success using it (as in, it won't work if you're retarded, but that's your fault for being retarded and not understanding, say, how to unrar stuff)
