never saw the point to these conversions. yeah... you get the LOOK... but you don't get the FEELING. Aero Peek is the ability to see open windows without actually selecting them and taking your focus away from your original application. Why would you want a feature of an OS to take up resources as an application running in the background?

Much rather use Windows 7. it's newer, better, and isn't an aging OS prettied up with Vista looking icons and such and "applications" to allow FEATURES of Windows 7 to be emulated.

i think they're shooting for sometime by the end of the year.... don't remember. it's supposed to RTM in April.... so i'm thinking maybe October-December maybe.....

I'm fine with my default Vista theme, I remember when Vista released everyone downloaded Vista skins for XP, it never felt like you were using Vista.

It's like putting racing strips and decals on a Toyota. Sure, it might look like a race car, but it really isn't.

TopHat: this theme pack is apparently now only for XP, not Vista. Kinda makes it even worse. Vista theme packs were created because people liked the look of Vista, but didn't like how "unstable" (PFFT!!!) it was. Now, Vista is quite stable, but people are still reluctant to use it (Mojave, anyone?). Now Windows 7 comes out.... and the same thing happens. What's worse is that the beta is FREE (quote: FREE).... and people STILL seem to rather skin a what.... now 7 year old OS? Just to make it look pretty much nothing like Windows 7?
