I'm thinking of starting a blog for my senior project. Should I just use something like Blogger or Tumblr? Or should I start a wordpress site? Any input is appreciated.
Wordpress could make an amazing site without having to start from scratch, but using Blogger may save time for the actual project.
Vote -> Blogger.

The thing is, we're "supposed" to spend a fair amount of time each day working on this stuff and I said I would spend time setting up the site. If I used my own site, what blogging software is the best? All I'd be doing is posting news about technology and shit, so it doesn't have to be super fancy.
If you're starting your own, Wordpress is pretty much hands down the best option.

blogger is better than wordpress because you can advertise on it and you can link it to your google account
I have 2 blogs on it. One that is making me a small amount of money where I post proxies every day http://dailyproxies.blogspot.com/

And setting up a blog just to make money is a silly idea.
Wordpress. You can make it look real professional and also has tons of plugins.
I don't think setting up a blog to make money is a silly idea, if I can generate revenue from something that takes little maintenance then its a good idea in my mind. And its not that much ads jeez.liquidat0r wrote:

That is most definitely not a silly idea.liquidat0r wrote:

If you have a popular blog with good content, several hundred dollars a month isn't unreasonable in the slightest.
Getting a job to make money is a silly idea.liquidat0r wrote:

Setting up a blog to post depressing teen angsty shit is a silly idea, which is what most of them are.
I just started developing a wordpress site. It's not done yet.
