I don't understand how teachers can make it harder than it is. For example, each school sends exams, projects whatever to a 'panel', where it is assessed, and for modern history, some poor bugger photocopied a full 200 page textbook. That got him marked down because it was totally unnecessary.

You think it's somehow 'good' to turn novels and books into 20-page study booklets?
I think something is wrong with you, not the schools/Universities.
