Looking for some HDTV recommendations. I might've found a new apartment and we may have a bit of extra cash to move in with, so I'd like to see about getting an HDTV, but I really know jack shit about 'em.
First off, it must be available in Germany or Austria. I want the best quality for cost, so nothing dirt cheap with shit quality, but probably not a Sony Bravia, either.
I would say size ... hmm ... perhaps a 32" is probably an average size, right? Nothing large, but nothing small. Average.
I also would like to have at least one VGA input that way I can hook up my laptops to the TV. I will eventually build a nice PC that will have HDMI hook ups on it through the video card, but VGA is still useful for my EEE PC and my Acer laptop.
I can't really think of anything else. I don't want to set a price cap, because I really do not know what these things go for with my specs and I've not really done a lot of looking. I plan on heading into one of the big electronics stores to check out what size would be best and look at prices, though, but it would be nice if I could go in there with some information.
Obviously, personal experiences are always best. What you see in the store is always made to look better or whatever and you can't get a good idea of usability or whatever. So if you own it and would recommend it, PLEASE TELL ME.
