Just had an interesting find...
ID Software are/have released a free version of there Quake 3: Arena to the Internet but BROWSER BASED.

The way i read is that you dont need any thing really in the way of spec as its all done one the back end on a dum-server?

I don't know why anyone would want to play Quake 3 with mod support removed when there are dozens of free FPS that are much better.
