Both awesome prison-movies though, I do agree.

Easily makes the top 5 list. I read Different Seasons when I was about 14 and was blown away by Shawshank and The Body (Stand By Me). I am not a big Stephen King fan but he is an amazing writer.Poseidon wrote:

Was going to say Taken but you have that on your list. What type of movies are you into? I see a general mix of genres in that list.
I dunno, it's hard to say. Shawshank had a better ending and the story was a little better (and was a lot more...realistic) but I think The Green Mile hit me emotionally way more than Shawshank did. They're about even in my book.Uzique wrote:

Spoiler (highlight to read):
I won't lie, I was near frigging bawling when John Coffey was executed. And I very, VERY rarely get emotional with movies.
I'm planning on picking up the book. After how the movie hit me, I've got to see if it lived up to the book.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Though I think the guy was a bit too good at breaking people's necks and taking them out perfectly, etc.
Insomnia, with Al Pacino. Eternal Sunshine is good, too.
