4850 and new psu?

so someone offered to buy my 8600gt and im going to sell it
but first i want to know if i need to upgrade my psu to get a 4850
the psu i have is a 500W aspire psu [+3.3V=28A +5V=30A +12V=34A -12V=.3A -5V=.8A +5VSB=2A]

it has one 6 pin (i was planning on using a two 4pin converter for the 2nd) and it's 500W so idk if it's completely necessary

500W is enough but Aspire fucking sucks.

The one I bought with my original system failed a couple months after I bought it. Ripped it apart and all the soldering was melted on the inside.

ive had it for 1 and a half
no problems yet

34A is a not a lot but should be enough. Now if that PSU can actually reliably output 34A on the 12V rail is a whole other can of worms
