Looking for a medium sized LCD tv

My parents want to get a new tv for their bedroom and have assigned me the task of picking one out. I have no idea where to begin.

I'm looking for a TV, I'm guessing LCD would be best since I've read plasma is dying out.
Screen size: must fit in a 34" wide space
Must be able to do 720p or 1080i, HDMI input
Budget: $700 USD

It has to be smaller than 32" to fit in a 34" wide space, 30" perhaps. Search for Samsung 30" or under

I honestly don't think it will fit. I have a Samsung 32" and the frame takes 2 inches on each side. The one you posted looks very similar to mine

It cant be right as the screen is wider than those specs for the whole TV

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
