Ok so im at my friends house, i hook up my computer and go on firefox and my internet doesnt work. So i go down check my connection and i get this... "Cannot connect to Ip, limit or no connectivity. Its set to automatically find it but that doesnt help.
Now my computer works perfectly at home but over here it just wont connect at all. Ive tried various cables, repairing the connection and such. It says it cant find an ip... What should i do???

What router do they use?

The may use Manuel settings.

I had my computer over once before and it worked just fine. Now it wont work at all.

First, we need more info. OS, router, modem, etc.

If your friend has a router, make sure mac filtering is off. Not being on the reserved list produces that exact warning.

Stupid request, but make sure your friends comp connects. ISPs don't usually perform matenence during weekends, but it is possible.

Finally, make sure your firewall accepts the connection. You may have to create a new connection because of your computer retaining your home settings.

This has happened to me before, I used to disable the enable the connection and it would fix itself.
