That you can connect a wired adapter from your xbox 360 to your PS3 and get internet from the PS3? I want to get online again and I can't plug my xbox 360 in the basement anymore plus I don't have any money for a wireless adapter. Other suggestions are welcome too

If the PS3 runs linux I'm sure you could hack something together
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

So wait - you want to use your 360's Wi-Fi adapter to get internet on your PS3? Is that what you're asking?

If so:

1) It wouldn't work
2) PS3's have Wi-Fi built in.

I'm not really sure what you're asking.

No, the other way around.  He wants his 360 to get internet from his PS3.  I highly doubt you can make that happen.

I don't have a Wi-Fi adapter for the xbox 360 and I want to get internet. Thing is, the basement is the only place I can get internet and I can't plug my xbox360 there anymore.

Why? if I can ask.

If it is because another device is plugged in, go to your local comp store and grab a small port switch. Shouldn't cost over $40. You will get connections from both devices.

My room is wired
Laptop --- Router ---- 2 Computers and my 360.
If you want something like that the Ethernet from the PS3 would have to go in the host of the router port, and the PS3 would need to be on for you to receive a wireless signal so you could play on your Xbox.

Dad won't let me plug the xbox downstairs for some reason.

I might try that.

Exactly, unless your dad has a degree in network engineering, he is mis informed by his NY times article. which was written by a liberal, saying xboxes bring evil to our children.

Well, he is probably worried that we'll have a third xbox broken. Seeing as it is dusty and dirty down there. By the way, I got grounded from the computer for sneaking in the basement at 1AM today, so I will be using the PS3 for now unless I am grounded on that too
