You're right about that. Just wrote it for fillings. What time of year would be the best to stay over there without any hurricanes, el niño's or other Jumanji's taking place? And when the scenery would be at its finest.

Asking this because the missus is planning for us to be abroad for a month or two next year and one option is Miami. We probably could rent a place there from our friends who have a house somewhere among the other Finnish oldies

Hurricane season is July to November. Late August is the peak. Keep in mind that dpending on how long you stay the odds are probably still pretty low that a visitor will get hit.
If you want to see a launch you'll want to head up to Titusville (the space coast).
