Mai last year i got my first migraine *jeej*. At the beginning i was sick and after that really bad headache. Everytime i moved just a little bit i hurt like hell. But the before that i couldnt speak normally anymore. I couldnt find the right words and i said things i didnt meant. Because of that and because of my headache and my "heavy" arm i went to the hospital. The docter said i used xtc or cannabis. My mom who's kinda in the medicine world said to make sure i had a urine sample, so they could find at least some proof for the xtc and cannabis. Nothing was found. So they took blood, to see if there was something wrong, nothing was. So they made a ct-scan and a EEG-scan. Those scans proved that i reacted on a flashing light that might indicate on epilepsy or migraine. But they werent sure.destruktion_6143 wrote:

Then the second time, 3-4 months later, i kinda knew what was going to happen. But it was still kinda odd when my right side of my body was kinda paralyzed. I couldn't move it easily, my arms and legs were really heavy, and i thought i still had strength, but i hardly could hold anything. So i went to the hospital again and a really bad headache came up beacause of all the lights. The docter asked me things, but i was in the "can't speak normally phase" so i couldnt tell a thing. The doctor told my mom that there was a schedule. First they let me take light medicines whenever i feel the migraine come and if that wouldnt work heavier medicine.
So the 3rd time i felt the migraine coming and took painkillers, against the headache, and domperidom, agains the sickness. But this time my face was paralyzed too. The right part of my tongue couldnt keep up with the left side, so talking wasnt that easy and my face was like it was anaesthetized. I fellt pretty well after the paralyzed phase was over and the medicine worked, but lights still hurted like hell and whenever i moved too fast i got the reminder of the headache. I went to the hospital the day after and they prescripted me a medicine to prevent the attacks, depakine chrono. This is because the migraines were 3-4 months away from each other and the next migraine "was planned" on my schooltrip to Rome and i didnt want to miss that! So now i use this medicine and i just have to wait if they work, but if they dont i will propably have painkillers and domperidom with me in Rome.
EDIT: So my aura are the phases of not being able to talk and the paralyzed pheeling.

You menstruating? That seems to be a common cause of migraines.
Had them twice, first time was at school. Hand went all funny while writing, sense of direction was gone, slurred speech. Second time and worst it virtually incapcitated me, was lying on the floor with my head thudding and my left arm went all crazy painful. Not fun.
Yes, not always but most of the time I'll see something that looks like a lot of little prism type lines moving around. Get them all the time, usually triggered by certain foods, lack of sleep or too much sun(for me anyways) and sometimes out of nowhere.destruktion_6143 wrote:

I don't get them very much anymore, luckily. I would get the eye thing, either like there was glare on the side of my vision or like I had been rubbing my eyes a bunch (dark spots). Always sucked when I had a ton of stuff to do, then those show up and you're out for the rest of the day.
