BF2S Forums pilot or co-pilot

sorry cant help you there, Im poo on TV missiles...least Im honest. Not so bad at flying them like.

Thought this thread was going to be about the SU34 tbh, was going to vent my anger at jumping in as co pilot and instead of being taken on a bombing run with a chance of some ground target kills, the pilot uses the bloody thing like a J10 and fails miserably

i'm good with tv missile, nearly always hit ground targets and generally hit attack choopers, sometimes miss but hey it depends on the pilot.

i havn't got xfire, never saw the need to use it, i may have a look into creating an account with them tomorrow.
If i do, i'll pm you with details.

I agree with you, but I do not fly that much, I am just learning how to, but on the other hand I hate pilots who do not hoover to allow me to shot the TV missile and make the kill then complain about it.  I have been in an attack chopper, and line up for a kill the the pilot moves, just before the shot.  Then complains that it was my fault.  So the issue goes both ways, co-pilots need to shoot, but pilots need to give them time to shoot.

i fly alone its the best way people.. if you can help it, if u got a tard in ur copter go to a nearest base n tell hi mto bail out, him thinking to help the flag go up quicker then do 1

As a pilot I REALLY love the gunners who spam the minigun. Is he shooting someone I don't see? Let me check... nope. STOP distracting me.

As a pilot/gunner I really like people who refuse to join your squad so you can use VOIP.

As a pilot I really like it when I pick up a 'Hey I need a ride' guy and then he proceeds to tell me to bail out.

As a gunner I really like pilots who still think that BF2 is pre-1.2 and that AA won't hit you. Nothing like hovering over the farm on Dragon Valley 64 (4 AA) sites within range and 2 more within spitting distance PLUS mobile AA.*sigh*

As a gunner I really like the pilots who don't know that the TV missile have a longer range then the AA missile, and thus all ground based AA can be safely destroyed at a distance.

As a gunner I love pilots who close the range on targets making it even harder to hit with TV missiles. Unless the target is dead center of your TV screen, us gunners have to 'guess' how much the missile is going to swerve as it leaves the rail because there is no time to correct the flight path.

As gunner I love the pilot who, without asking me to baillout, flies to the edge of the map for the OOB kill. (No teammate waiting either) WTF

As a gunner with 8 one hit 1 kill missiles, i really love pilots that think they must use their rockets as a primanry weapon. They are weak, short-range, un-guided missiles and are a poor substitute for the TV missile.

As a pilot, I love gunners who fail to realise that I am hovering out of AA range so they can take it out. 'But I can't see it......!!!!' It is a TV missile. You will see it as you get closer. DOH.

As a player, I love anyone who turns away from a flag when it just turned white. I iwsh more people had a basic 'situational awareness'. It seems that a lot of us are just lemmings.

Well, I used to be pretty good with the missles. However, now they fly like crap, they don't turn in small incriments so you miss by small bits, then when you try to make it turn by moving the curser further, it flys way to the side and misses that way.

Gah.. I dunno wtf they did to the missles, but the frigin suck now.

If i jump into a chopper, first thing i do is look for him on the squad list, then join his squad.

Second thing i do is ask him "can you hear me good?"

Ive had a map with 5 chopper kills with the TV guides.

Ive had a map with 8+ kills vs Mobile AA from outside of their range.

Im a decent gunner. I dont hit 100% of the time; i at least hit 3 out of 4 ground targets.

Nah, just don't wait till the last second to adjust your shot on them. Always be changing in the direction you think they're gonna turn.

Elite. you have to remember that those cams swivel around so he might be looking at 10 troops you just flew past while your looking at an empty blackhawk.

The worst thing is when your co pilot does nothing at all, im sitting there waiting for him to kill an rpg guy but he doesnt but just got to take the good with the bad. i sometimes get some excellent co pilots/ pilots and we make a cooking team as long as no bonehead gets in there.
