i was looking at the escapist forums, particularly the threads about the ZP videos, and you actually receive a two week ban for posting before you could have seen the whole video.

There is like 7 people who post every time saying something about a quote about half way though, or just like "im glad he chose this game to review" after 3 minutes of the thread being made and they gat banned

am i the only one who finds this insane?

No, it makes perfect fucking sense by the mods.

Every single week, as soon as the video is uploaded a thread opens announcing the video is up. So before watching the video, you have 10 or so people typing
