Seriously when is bf2s shutting down? OrangeHound still has that lame sig saying karma is so 2007 when it was so 2008 too.
Trackr won't happen.

Last I heard, chuy was working on a combination-esque forum of Trackr and BF2s. Who knows anymore.
That seems far-fetchedPoseidon wrote:

I'm just going off of what Varegg said in a thread once. Can't remember where he said it though.Roc18 wrote:

1943s.com with a redirect to the renamed bf2s forums makes sense.
The stat system is already in place and the influx of new people would be great.
Right now trackr has no growth potential since nobody beside us have any reason to go there.

BF2s is a success because it is truly differentiated from all of the other generic gaming websites, and caters to a niche of gamers.
Unfortunately trackr is just another one of those generic gaming websites. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the layout, it has lots of nice touches and I would move over there if BF2s shut down. I just think it would struggle to recruit new members.
Imo.
I guess only Chuy really knows what is going on.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
Trackr needs the support of the community. There are good reasons why trackr would work, it just needs forums to keep people coming back. I really like the idea of a multi-gaming site with the type of info that bf2s provides for BF2. Right now there is just little incentive to add content because not many people make a habit of visiting it.

if trackr wasnt so ugly maybe i wouldnt mind it. BF2s looks so much better tho. layout and colours-wise. LEAVE BF2S ALONE!!!! /crocker
What I think would make trackr work is stat tracking for a variety of games not only BF2. But I hear nothing about there being any type of stats tracking on trackr.
nor there being any other games with stats
Im pretty sure there are games out there that have some type of statistics and rankings associated with them.phishman420 wrote:

Haha yeah, it's a bit much to expect Chuy & Co. to actually design stats-systems that don't exist yet . BF2 and 2142 are pretty much the only games with extensive website-support for stats-tracking, all the rest are limited to plug-in services like HLStats, and there's no way to create a 'global database' of stats from that. Impossible website concept, really.

Well that's what I think would make it work. Otherwise its just another gaming forum.Uzique wrote:

maybe chuy should get to work on a bf2 replacement rather than a bf2s replacement
That's where content comes in. If you have people adding good content about games (strategies, cheat codes, general wiki articles, reviews) plus forums to talk about that content it could do something. As is it is just a site with content and a forum that is lacking. The fact that people come on this website to bullshit about anything and everything combined with a site with loads of content about games could make trackr something very cool.Roc18 wrote:

Yes, but we already have a generally effective layout for the stats system which already supports long term tracking on the side. Surely a stats feed into the layout presented would work as long as we changed some values?Roc18 wrote:

trackR can't start yet, AU doesn't have 20,000 posts. Wait yes we do. Well, we don't have 1000 pages yet.

Well it depends if people do all those things or the forum will be just like bf2s is right now except on a different site with no stats tracking. I expected the site with the name trackr would have some type of stats tracking.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

maybe it's all a plot to track the interests and tendencies of generic internet users for a nefarious international conspiracy groupRoc18 wrote:

nothing really wrong with this site. maybe needs some of it's subforums closed and streamlined, some new subforums opened up, some stickys unstickied, and some chumps unbanned but that's about it.
