This kid has no life experience, how can he possibly claim to know anything significant about conservatism versus liberalism if he has been raised in a conservative household and never exposed himself to liberalism? Maybe, he's read tons of books and formulated his own opinion.  What scares me more is the PETA and Gorebal warming bullshit coming into schools and poisioning our children's minds.

I have to agree with this little $hit, at least in part.

His critique of the Republican party is 100% right on but it applies to both political parties. The number one rule for a political party is never hurt the party. Politicians seek power to the expense of everything else, including the nation and the people. Instead they actively redefine what is in the national or public interest in order to justify their own sociopathic/psychopathic lusts for power.

I would disagree with the kid that the fact that three Republicans voted against the stiumulus bill is a sign of a return to conservative roots instead that fact goes to support his premise about power seeking behavior. The lack of support by the Republicans in a time of economic crisis is a function of power seeking behavior and jockeying for position in the next election cycle.

Finally, the Republicans will never be a party of principle if they keep trying to marry conservative principles to the socialist "social conservative" ideas. Those two ideas are mutually exclusive and gives the Republican party a schizophrenic personality that cheeses off progressive conservatives who would be the true base of the Republican party.

All parents "brainwash" their children with their viewpoints/beliefs.  Why would I let someone else take primary influence until they are old enough to decide for themselves?  I find it interesting that folks start howling about parents brainwashing their kids when they disagree with the viewpoint/beliefs of the parents ... otherwise *crickets*.

to you, but to a huge amount of weak liberal it shows strength the party has been lacking in the past. For moderate independents he can use it as a "look at them try to derail me and the rest of the country". To a few conservatives it shows he has a backbone something a few of them worried he didn't.

No kidding.  Obama's change=fail.  In less than two months, he's all ready put the market in the crapper,  spent our Grandkids's money,  broken numerous campaign promises (transparency, appointees, etc.), offered up our missile defense, tried to walk through a window in the White House, face-smacked Marine 1...  I could keep going on, but my beer is empty.

I've heard his approval rating at this time in office is all ready lower than Bush's at the same given time.

Steele has said that he had not intention of attacking Rush, and that Rush is an important voice and his friend. He also said that he was recognizing what people say about Rush's remarks and was responding to that.
