When I play Empire Total War, the screen gets all scrambled and fuzzy.  Sometimes it happens right after I load the game, sometimes it happens when I'm loading the tutorial, and sometimes right when I get into the tutorial.  This happens occasionally with CoD4 also, but usually I can just alt+tab to desktop then load the game back up and everything is fine.  However, that doesnt work with this game.  Anybody know whats wrong?

Sometimes it happens at the exact time I load the game, so that couldnt be overheating, could it?

it can... use rivatuner for temp monitoring and go game again. report findings here.

edit: and oh check the cpu temps too...

edit: a8n-sli... I had that board... download asus probe and check the NB temperatures
