That's funny because the Canadian forces were using digital camo before the marines were.SgtHeihn wrote:
Its funny the Marines start MARPAT and now everyone is doing it.
Ya the Canadian army first came out with the digital camo and gave the technology they used to allies like the USA.csmag wrote:

Just to clear up CADPAT/MARPAT before there is a waged war.The U.S. Marines considered adopting CADPAT for their new pattern, however the Canadian government owns the copyright for the pattern. The Canadian government supplied information and manufacturers to help the Marines with the computer-generated Digital Pattern pixilated uniform the Canadians had been developing since 1988.
MARPAT was developed with the help of the Canadian Department of National Defence and their extensive research used to develop CADPAT.
According to a source involved in the CADPAT evaluation process, testing with Digital patterns apparently started in Canada around 1995:
I always thought that the canadian military adopted the CADPAT from the United States Army until I did some research. But one thing I do have to say is that the MARPAT is an awsome fucking color.SgtHeihn wrote:

Although I do prefer the USMC's two versions of MARPAT (Desert and woodland), I really like the Russian blue woodland, I don't know how effective it is but it's so sexy in Rainbow 6 Vegas 2
EDIT: I don't wana start my typical "USMC's best" arguement here, the pic was just to show the camo. But seriously... <3 MARPAT
Hold on I'm getting confused! When you say MARPAT are you talking about all the versions, the Woodland version, the Desert version or the Arctic version??trex1210 wrote:

@ panda, the auscam works great up here bro. Even during the wet season (monsoons) when everything goes green. Literally everything.
