I've read about ten of them I think.
More than me - but I get the impression most people posting here haven't (from the descriptions of what is and isn't "Bond").

See post below for a perfect example:

Dr No. is the first Bond and Die Another Day is the last
But Die Another Day was shittacular. I enjoyed both Tomorrow Never Dies and Golden Eye, but The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day were horrible.
I know it was shit but atleast it was more Bond-like

I'd like to read all of them, might have to see if Amazon have some kind of box set deal.

Fact: Thunderball followed by Goldfinger were the 2 most successful bond films, with you only love twice being number 4 with diamonds are for ever being the eighth and From Russia with Love the ninth most successful.
Fact: Sean Connery was Bond in all the aforementioned films.
Fact: (if you include never say never again) Sean Connery did the equal most number of bond films.
Fact: Sean Connery was the only actor to be recalled to do another Bond after he had left.
Fact: This happened on 2 different occasions.
Fact: Sean Connery was the original Bond

Opinion: Sean Connery was the best Bond.
Fact: Most people agree with me.

Take it up with Ian Fleming.
Not only is Ian Flemming Dead but the movies are at best loosely based on his books and more often then not only use the same title or have nothing to do with Ian Flemming's books at all. Bond is his 'character' but stories in the movies are the collaboration of screen writers producers and the directors.

it's just not Bond to get so worked up over a bitch like he did in Casino Royale/Quantum, and Quantum was a good action film, but not a good Bond film
He got married in On Her Majesties Secret Service, but again that was a shit Bond being just slightly above the last 3 Bonds have been the 3 worst made to date.

Connery was the best Bond, he just seemed to suit the Character.

But the Quantum of Solace is actually an awesomely entertaining movie.
It really is.  Casino Royale was better, but...  Daniel Craig is still the best Bond.  Move over Sean.

Both Casino royal and Quantum were okay. Not good, for me Bond died when Pierce Brossnan stopped doing bond. Which is also the same time the gadgetry died.

Bring back Brossnan tbh.

I can picture it now...

He could have a walking frame with flamethrowers hidden inside. Carrying a Viagra pill for each Bond girl he meets.

Seriously, Bond is meant to be a guy in his 30s. Not in his 50s. Might as well bring Connery back if you want an oldie in the role.

I go to a movie to see something interesting and with the slightest modicum of tension. Not to see Mr I-have-a-deux-ex-machina-o-matic-stuck-up-my-ass get out of ridiculously predictable situations in a ridiculously predictable manner.

(You get the feeling I didn't like Die Another Day)

I like the recent ones, mostly as they go back to the true roots of bond. It seems that most people (Berster obviously excluded) seem to have forgotten or been completely unaware that your not meant to really like James Bond, he's meant to be a cold hearted bastard who uses people to further his means then leaves them before going off to beat the shit out of some commie as he's been ordered to do so. After torturing him in the style of  casino royale.

Craig fits that persona best I think but I also really liked the way that Connery did him as well.
