My power supply blew out a couple days ago so I ordered a new one on Newegg. I got an OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w power supply:

It's for an older computer, the parts are basically the value gaming PC from late 2005 on this site. Well the mother board is the ASUS P5GPL and I have the 24-pin and 4-pin CPU power connecter connected to the mother board. The 8-pin power connecter isn't attached to anything and now I have some 4-pin molex plugs for fans and CD drives that aren't getting any power at all.

I got the cables with it in this picture:

However, I don't have anywhere to connect those 4-pin molex power connectors on my mother board. Are there any adapters I can buy to be able to connect that 8-pin CPU power connector to the 4-pin molex connector? I have a feeling I'll have to return it for another power supply and really just don't want to deal with the hassel of sending it back. Is there anything else I could do to power up my CD drives and hard drives?

Wait, I'm confused.

You have an 8-Pin CPU power connector, and you need a 4-Pin one?

If so, it should still fit in, you'd just have some hanging over the edge. If there's no room... Then maybe try a different PSU.

There might be a CPU to Molex adapter, though.

Sorry if I'm wrong, I just didn't get your post too well (It's late, I'm tired etc.)

No, I have an 8-pin CPU power connector that isn't attached to anything. It's the only cable not attached to anything from my power supply. The 4-pin CPU power connector is already connected. My problem is I need the 4-pin molex connectors to power my hard drives and CD drives but I can't connect them at all. My old power supply had the 4-pin molex adapters coming out of it but this one doesn't seem to have it.

Modular cable that has molex connectors: Plug the other side to PSU and other to the drive. make sure you are plugging the cable to right spot in  PSU if there are manu spots.

Wow... I can't believe how much of an idiot I am... I've never seen a power supplies with extra plugs that can be connected into the back of the power supply. I should be a shamed of myself for wasting everybody's time and bandwith...

Hehe.

Tip for future reference for anyone replacing psus:  Keep the cords connected until you've screwed in the new psu and are ready to start plugging things in to avoid confusion.

Yeah, that's what a modular PSU is. Good for keeping your case tiday, as un-needed cables aren't there.
