So, the other day I was kicked from a server for, I quote, "Being too liberal"

This beside the fact that me and my friends play with the tags +=AB=+ which is Anti-Bush, and our squad name is always that, but we've been doing it for about 4 months now and this is the first an admin has done anything to us. HAHAHA

I'll get a screen of the punkbuster thing later. This was just hilarious when I was kicked, I couldn't stop laughing, I almost fell out of my chair.
That admin must subscribe to the Marxist-Leninist version of the communist doctrine.

Quote: Shennanigans

"Of course you dont see anything offensive about it! It is your opinion. The point is, there is a proper time and place for political commentary."

"I HATE John Kerry, but I never put any such bumper stickers on my car. I like to keep my politics to myself unless I am having a TWO WAY conversation about them. You have entered an environment in which your political statement has a disruptive effect."

Normally I wouldn't say it because it is not very tactful, but I'm a truth-monger, and no matter how you spin doctor it, Shennanigans just demonstrated blatant hypocracy in this sentiment.

As for the Michael Moore thing, that was good citation of what not to do.

Then the college thing, I'd agree that many Colleges create a rather socially liberal outlook, whether or not it is something that lasts or translates into progressive thought about economics and politics is another matter.  But one must also concur that "business" and "retail" monopolize on fiscally conservative ideals.  Is one perspective better than the other?  (Rhetorical) It depends on the peron's perspective and political schema and beyond that is hard to say.

Tangent-non-political
Anyhow, as for being wrongfully kicked, that happened to me at the =GF= Good fellas ranked server.  I was kicked for attacking a non-cap, though it also said hitting Comm assets was allowed, but you had to leave the area afterwards.  I bombed the carrier assets, left the planes and infantry alone and got kicked for attacking a non-cap.  I came back saying "someone owes me an apology...."  and low and behold the admins apologized for it and realized it was a mistake immediately on TS after kicking me.  All I can say is props to these guys, glad to see a clan that has the integrity not only to keep to their rules, but to also take criticism. I would say this is an archetype for future admins/servers.

The other day on CS:S, all these guys had the tag -[ThaksinGetOut!]- (if you're not aware enough as anyone over 12 should be, the political situation is unstable in Thailand right now with a corrupt Prime Minister) and after 3 rounds FOUR out of TWENTY people actually shot a gun. The rest were just arguing about politics on the server.

What, conservatives can't be the like the 'party of tolerance' every now and then?
NEVER. Unless it benefits them/Makes them money. Not speaking for all Repub's Consev's. You know the ones. They want to do something that affects the country but give no info on why we are doing it. Or relevent info that is.
